Detailed information on how we handle shipping, cancellation, returns and damaged items is specified within our terms and conditions. But here are the important points.
Shipping
We aim to dispatch orders placed on Monday - Friday before 2pm on the same day, subject to stock. Orders placed after 2pm or duing the weekend (or public holidays) will be dispatched on the following working day. Parcels are delivered either by courier or by royal mail. All parcels sent by courier are insured and will require a signature. We are unable to issue delivery instructions that do not make allowance for the delivery agent to obtain a valid signature. If no one is available, the courier will normally leave a calling card, please follow any instructions given and contact the depot specified A.S.A.P to re-arrange delivery or collection. Orders can only be delivered to the address specified with the order.
We will send you the parcel consignment and tracking details by email about 6pm on the day of dispatch.
Cancellations and Returns
If you decide you do not require all or part of your order, you may return it to us (at your expense) within 7 working days of delivery. A returns form MUST be included with all returned orders. Any orders/items returned without this complete form may take longer to process and refund as it is more difficult for us to locate your details.

Damaged Items
All goods are checked before dispatch, but in the unlikely event of any items in your order being damaged, you should:
- Send an email to damage@the-online-shopping-company.co.uk within 24 hours of signing for the parcel
- Make sure the email includes:
- Your name
- The name used to place the order if different from your name
- The order number (This can be found on the invoice included in the parcel or within your account on this website)
- A description of the damage
- Photographs of all the damaged items
- Any other relevent information
- Make sure you request a read receipt - You will recieve an automated confirmation email, this is not proof we have received and read you email.
Providing us with the above information will ensure we process and replace your items as soon as possible. If you are unable to provide photograghs we will arrange to collect the items from you and have them returned to us for inspection. If you prefer this option, someone must be available at the collection address when the courier arrives and the items must be appropriately packaged. Once the products arrive back to us, we will inspect them to confirm the damage and replace as appropriate.
